A point of reference in high-tech footwear moulds since 1966, today, Apego’s customer base includes leading national and international footwear manufacturers, with more than 90% of its production destined for exports to more than 20 countries worldwide.

In line with its vision of achieving 360° excellence, while replying to the expectations of customers and stakeholders, the company from Cilavegna (PV) decided to undergo a process that monitors its environmental and social performance, with the aim of obtaining CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) certification. What makes CSR qualification unique is its ability to join the company’s economic responsibility with a social responsibility, capable of creating tangible and intangible values for everything surrounding the company: winning values for the company, for people, for the territory, and for the environment.

With the aim of obtaining this recognition, Apego decided to use the EcoVadis platform, which allows companies to monitor the sustainability performance of their suppliers in 150 sectors and 110 countries. In fact, today, many top multinational corporations have adopted this solution as a means of evaluating their database of suppliers located in more than 95 countries worldwide.

Thanks to its score, Apego was granted the Silver Recognition Level by EcoVadis, which, in terms of Fair Business Practices, ranks it among the top 9% of suppliers evaluated by EcoVadis in that category, while globally speaking it comes in among the top 25% in terms of performance.
