Assomac opens the first Italian-Vietnamese Technology Center in VietnamThe Italian-Vietnamese Technology Center that was inaugurated by Assomac is an important step forward in the local promotion of Italian technology
The Technology Center was created by Assomac with the financial support of the Ministry of Economic Development (MiSE) and the Italian Trade Agency, in order to further the development of the local industry.
The project has also received the aid of PISIE – International Polytechnic for the Industrial and Economical Development, which collaborated with Assomac to professionally train the Centre’s employees, with more courses scheduled to be taught throughout the year.
The new Centre is located near Ho Chi Minh City, at the LEFASO (the association representing Vietnamese footwear and leather-goods manufacturers and tanners) Service Center, and has a complete line of Italian footwear-production machinery and equipment, thus marking a major step forward in the local promotion of Italian technology.
The opening ceremony was attended by Assomac President Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, the Vietnamese Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung, and the Italian Ambassador in Vietnam, Cecilia Piccioni. The President and Vice President of LEFASO Nguyen Duc Thuan and Diep Thanh Kiet were also present, as well as the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City office of the Italian Trade Agency Paolo Lemma.
