Farewell to Cavaliere Giovanni Bergozza, founder and soul of Bergi S.p.AThe farewell service for the Cavaliere Giovanni Bergozza, the founder and soul of Bergi S.p.A, who died on March 30, will be celebrated today at 4 pm in the Cathedral of Ognissanti in Arzignano.
In an interview in the newspaper Repubblica, a few years back, the Cavaliere Giovanni Bergozza talked about how he began his profession in 1948: "I was 12 years old and I was hungry. My father was in Africa, working, I was the oldest of 5 brothers, my family was poor. What else could I do having reached only fifth grade at school? I showed up at the first firm I found, Consolaro. The owner employed me to clean the lathe, a true iron monster. Then little by little he allowed me to use the press and the drill, and there I was, pushing the button and the lever all day long".
An incredible example of dedication; a man who was able, in time, to create a company that is today a world leader in the design and construction of leather processing machines, Bergi S.p.A.
He passed away on March 30. The family remembers him this way:
His love for his family, the joy he felt for his job and the cult of honesty were luminous realities of his life.
BERGI S.p.A., founded in 1965 by Giovanni Bergozza, deals with the design and construction of leather processing machines. An important and highly appreciated presence in the market that was confirmed as such in 2003 when it was awarded the gold medal in recognition of internationalization.
Today Bergi is a group (BERGI, BERTECH, BERTEX) that distinguishes itself for its constant search for new, developmental solutions, its constant interexchange of ieas and solutions between businesses operating in various sectors, its extremely high attention to new markets, to the prospects they offer and to the innovations they require.
