messefrankfurt0219day2-044Showcasing the trends for Spring/Summer 2020 and assembling 30 exhibitors from six different countries, the second edition of Leatherworld Paris was dedicated to “flexible materials” for the leather goods, footwear, bags, small accessories, detailing on clothes or outerwear and fur (and faux fur). Leatherworld contributed to the upbeat mood at the “Fairyland for Fashion”, with buyers intent on determining how feasible their projects were and on getting in first when it came to exclusives from the first day onwards. The setting designed by the artistic directors was extremely effective, since it conveyed the atmosphere of an artisanal ateliers square where people enjoy coming across each other and exchanging opinions. It was an event with an international reach where all those involved in the textile industry can be found, but also producers of leather and manufacturers of synthetic materials. Catwalk shows and presentations on the latest developments provided additional information that made the visit even more worthwhile. The presentation “Skins and materials: how to respond to end consumers’ new expectations” shed some light on eco materials and emphasized the importance of both material features and consumer behaviour.messefrankfurt0219day3-076
Like each of the six Messe Frankfurt France shows, which include Apparel Sourcing Paris and TexWorld Paris, Leatherworld Paris have the advantage of dedicated fashion shows and to form part of the “Small Quantities and Sustainable Sourcing circuits”, which are aimed at professionals wanting to place orders for small volumes or to find eco-friendly or ethical suppliers.
“Leatherworld Paris is, above all, a trade show that is attuned to the demands for versatile materials needed in the manufacture of products. Collections of finished products round off this distinctive offer that is specific to us”, said Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France.
Next edition will take place from September 16th to 19th 2019 at Le Bourget Exhibition Centre.
