ASSOCIATIONS/SCHOOLS

Assocalzaturifici is the association that represents Italian footwear manufacturers companies.

The Association currently encompasses more than 600 footwear companies located throughout Italy and it represents a sector which exports over 85% of its production.

Assocalzaturifici safeguards the overall interests of the shoe industry in all sectors and represents the industry before Italian and foreign authorities and financial organizations.

The Association handles trade-union relations for the sector, discuss and signs collective labour contract and follows the various stages of interpretation and application as well as representing the shoe industry in issues concerning trade-union activities.

Assocalzaturifici organizes events and promotes debates, projects and agreements aimed at progressively improving the technical, economical and cultural aspects of the industry and its employees.

Assocalzaturifici takes care of young enterpreneurs too. Since 1987, sons and daughters of entrepreneurs and managers from companies belonging to the Association have been members of the group, ranging from ages 18 to 40.
The Association organizes studies, researches, activities for the development of managerial culture and to encourage entrepreneurship among young people.

Confindustria, the official organization for representation of the Italian industry, is the system in which Assocalzaturifici identifies itself as it is the expression of its regions.

CEC, the European Confederation of Footwear Industry, is the industry’s European Association to which Assocalzaturifici belongs.
