Davos: F/W 2018-19 new proposals in women’s and casual footwearEver attentive to the needs of an increasingly complex and evolving market, Davos sets its sights on proposing a high quality and always diversified offering for the future
The F/W 2018-19 Davos collection is based on two main trends. First of all, is the market of mid-top end women’s footwear (both fashion and classic), which extends the range of some of the pre-existing lines in its new proposals. Going more into detail:
AURORA LINE: characterized by an extremely soft hand, which is pleasing to the touch, and a delicate matching print and thermosensible finish (which is suited to the hot-stamping process). Starting from this season, the pre-existing colours are flanked by mostly winter-inspired tones like Matte Black, Dark Brown, and Brick.
ETNIKA LINE: with a soft hand and more pronounced/distinct colours than the Aurora Line, it proposes a new slightly darker print on a varnished base, with an ethnic-inspired finish. It is exactly because of this special finish that it is preferable to not propose it with a thermosensible finish.
KRYSTAL LINE: characterized by an extremely glossy finish, with a heightened shiny effect.
VARNISHED EVERFLEX LINE: a microlite special finish characterized by extremely fine “pumicing”, or rather sanding down, it is possible to produce all kinds of varnishing with perfect adherence. It comes available in the following finishes: ARDESIA PROFILE, GRANATA PROFILE, COCCO PROFILE.
The other new proposals for F/W 2018-19 instead regard casual footwear, where GRIPP, an extremely technical product of the highest quality, stands out in particular. With it, it is possible to realize made-to-measure reinforcements that complete the sole of the sneaker. This artisanal sole highlights every kind of construction and detail, with a V1 spinapesce outsole (once again produced by Davo) that is matched with a custom-made special technical rubber reinforcement (GRIPP), which is applied with the upper closed directly onto the shoe.
The reinforcement can be personalized afterwards, through various techniques like brushing, aging, waxing, etc., for a top-of-the-line rubber finish that satisfies the needs of the market. Up until a few seasons ago,GRIPP was exclusively used in the field of trekking and proposed only in the colour Black, while today it is also proposed in the segment of casual footwear, thanks to its collaboration with important footwear manufacturing groups. Moreover, it has been enriched by the new range of GRIPP PLUS colours, which includes Red, Blue, and Yellow, next to the traditional Black and Snow (white) tones.
Gripp Plus has passed all of the CE qualitative tests, while also guaranteeing a significant level of resistance to UV rays and abrasion. Moreover, it is an extremely versatile product because it can be produced in plain, carded, pumiced, dual-etched, or sectioned versions.
Completing the Davos proposal in the sneaker segment are the following products:
– V1 SPINAPESCE: coupled with coloured microporous sheets, for high performance, extremely lightweight and flexible soles, and matchings of fashion colours;
– FIESTA SOLE: a boxed sole, available in all sizes and different colours, it is made out of genuine rubber with optimum abrasion resistance and is particularly suited to the mid-range sneaker market.
