Futurmoda: an extensive selection and international scopeFuturmoda, the Spanish event dedicated to leather, components, and machinery for the footwear and leather goods industry, will return with a new edition from 25 to 26 October 2017 in Elche
Now in its 38th edition, Futurmoda is no longer just regional and has taken on an increasingly international scope, while also strengthening its numbers at the same time, as can be seen by the new record registered at the last edition: 400 exhibitors in a net exhibition area of 10 thousand square meters, and 6,300 professional visitors.
We asked Alvaro Sanchez, the director of the event, the secret behind this success:
From a local fair firmly rooted in the district of Alicante, where 80% of Spanish footwear is produced, to an international event: Futurmoda has left behind its regional scope thanks to its ability to attract new followers, from both the national and European industry. – he explains – In recent years, Futurmoda has evolved, opening itself up to the world and showing it its international facade: the project and the favourable conditions for exhibiting were fundamental for exhibitors, resulting in a rise in the quality and in the diversification of the exhibit’s offer, which is fundamental for visitors.
While the heart of Futurmoda will feature as its protagonists the Fall-Winter 2018-19 collections of leather, together with those of fabrics, synthetic materials, components, ornaments, soles, heels, and trimmings… an important part of the event will also be dedicated to machinery and technology:
There will be extensive participation by machinery manufacturers present at the fair with the latest technological innovations: – confirms Alvaro Sanchez – from virtual design to the most advanced cutting systems, from equipment for precision assembly to the latest technologies of automation, 3D printing, and intelligent identification and traceability systems… we have great expectations from this sector of the show, which will showcase its latest products in an exhibition area of 1,500 square meters.
These are the contents that raise the expectations of the AEC Ferias organizational body:
We expect to exceed the numbers of the last edition, – confirms Alvaro Sanchez – when we recorded more than 6,000 visitors coming from 40 different nations. We count on it, since the selection of footwear components for the coming Fall Winter 2018/19 season includes materials with a high level of design and quality, innovative and eco-friendly articles, together with the most advanced offering of machinery and technological solutions for footwear.
At Futurmoda, footwear components provide an overview of the world of fashion.
