The finalists for the 4th edition of the competition dedicated to emerging Colombian designers are currently being selected

tresganadoresThe Colombian competition “Innovación para tus pies” is a research platform aimed at discovering new footwear designers in Colombia. It is an opportunity to discover the best new designers in the country, highlighting their strategic importance as agents of major changes in one of the most export-oriented sectors. The first three editions of the award attracted more than 2,200 registrations from all over Colombia, from which emerged five winners who were able to take advantage of five international scholarships at the ARSUTORIA School of Milan, a partner of the event. Since the objective of the competition is to discover new elite footwear designers, participants are required to create a completely new collection, expressing the Colombian culture and reflecting the main international trends, suggested and indicated by the Trend Book created by ARSUTORIA. The outcome of the 2016 edition will be announced at next February’s International Footwear and Leather Show IFLS. The new winners will be discovered at that time, who will then have the opportunity to attend one of the prestigious courses for pattern-makers and designers at the ARSUTORIA School in Milan (Italy), as well as take part in some important international events in the sector and become more well-known in the field, thanks to different communication actions.
