Invisible but everywhere. 100 years of Industrie Chimiche ForestaliThis is the slogan that Industrie Chimiche Forestali wanted to “wear” on the occasion of the celebrations for its first 100 years of activity.
A licence to deforest. The success of Forestali was born of that concession; Forestali actually relied on the ingenuity of its founders to establish a constant growth that continues today. It was they who understood that the resin flowing out of the cut trunks could be processed and used as glue. We owe the beginning of this beautiful story to the Girardi family, then flanked by the Mercallis. And after the first 80 years of their management, Luciano Buratti, the last private owner of the company – which, since 2014, has been part of a group of Investement Funds – is remembered. Since then its progression has been unstoppable, so much so that since May 14 the company has been a public company.
The celebrations of the 100 years of the company, held in the administrative and production headquarters in Marcallo con Casone (Milan), were an excellent occasion to remember “the people that have worked in Forestali all these years and that have made great a company that produces technical products for gluing and reinforcing shoes, leather goods of any kind and industrial artifacts in Italy and exports them all over the world. Products that are invisible but present everywhere, in every part of the world”.
The recent listing on the Stock Exchange of the newborn company ICF Group enables the CEO Guido Cami to end the day this way:
Now we are not celebrating the past 100 years, but the next 100 years, which, through the coordination and potential of ICF Group, will still give us emotions and enthusiasm to widen our perimeter of action.
