Klein Karoo International switches to solar energy.The South African tannery has installed a system of solar panels that can meet the energy needs of its production plant.

Six hundred square metres of solar panels now enable the South African tannery Klein Karoo International to do without fossil fuels. Leading companies in the ostrich industry have invested in the Soltrain program, a project for the dissemination of solar energy in the countries of Southern Africa. The company, which runs ostrich farms and meat- and feather-processing plants, will enable the heat-generating system to work with renewable energy.
