ALC: Laser cutting has never been so easyThe automatic system for the application of protective film for leather cutting proposed by ALC simplifies and speeds up the preparation of the pieces to process
Laser processing on leather and synthetics is increasingly frequent, requested and common above all in fashion. The latest edition of Lineapelle highlighted that next winter the trend will continue for both soles and leather goods.
Laser cutting is without a doubt a precise and innovative processing that leaves a lot of space for creativity, but it’s also a treatment that requires a careful and meticulous preparation of the material, to which a protective film is usually applied. The aim is to avoid undesired burns, to protect the surface against the dirt caused by burns and to ensure the integrity of the piece also during the sandblasting stage, necessary to clean the material from the unavoidable residues.
The system developed by ALC simplifies and speeds up preparation, which is usually carried out by hand, and finishing.
The new machine Kyotex 500 - specifically equipped, with a wider light and able to process even large leather goods - applies a transparent film that leaves no trace of adhesive. It ensures a perfect adhesion, guaranteed by the Kyotex technology, which prevents accidental flame ignition and the consequent blooming effect on leathers. Besides, in combination with Kyotex adhesives, it enables to protect and adhesivize the product for multiple applications in the field of footwear and leather goods in only one step.
The considerable amount of time and labour saved enables a quality laser cutting without facing considerable risks, above all when precious materials destined to luxury are treated, as it’s possible to guarantee a constant and uniform application of the protective film.
