After a slow start, Lineapelle started to see results in its second day, maintaining a high level of dynamism until the end of the event. The final results saw around 20 thousand visitors recorded, up +2% over previous editions, with this edition characterised by a clear international scope, thanks to a 49% turnout in foreign visitors and 105 different nationalities represented at the fair. In particular, there was a double-digit rise in Chinese participation – absent from the last edition because of its conjunction with the Chineslp95-2e New Year – and USA visitors, who reaffirmed Lineapelle as a privileged venue for sharing and discussing at a time characterised by clear trade tensions between the two areas. At the same time, there was also a rise in Indian, Japanese, and Russian participation.lp95-5

The fashion and luxury community found the Lineapelle selection to be extremely rich in creative inspirations: 1,306 exhibiting companies (+4.1% over the last edition) of which 801 Italian firms and 498 foreign companies coming from 48 different countries, which presented the FW 2019-20 collections of leathers, synthetics and fabrics, and accessories and components characterised by experimental and innovative products. The three inspirational trend areas showcased the stylistic highlights offered by the collections, presenting them around the theme “Reflections Between Real and Fake”. But the truly important novelty at this edition was the debut of the Lineapelle Innovation Square, the new hub of inspiration and research, where for tlp95-4hree days, some of the most stimulating, futuristic scientific, and technological innovations concerning the product were covered in-depth, while tackling issues like sustainability and fashion industry circularity, digitalisation and the Industry 4.0, and professional training, with the contribution of a panel of international experts, accredited research centres and cutting-edge businesses. The initiative captured the interest of visitors, attracting numerous participants, and it will be proposed once again at the next edition.

With these contents, Lineapelle confirmed itself to be the event of reference for the fashion and luxury industry, an extraordinary platform for interaction and networking, above all in light of the market’s cautious approach, which continues to reward only the most reactive businesses in the mid to high-end range.

The next edition of Lineapelle will present the SS 2020 collections as its protagonists at FieraMilano from 20 to 22 February 2019.
