Lineapelle New York took place at the Metropolitan Pavilion from 18th to 19th July 2017. There were 120 exhibitors (+20% over the previous edition), while the number of visitors reached 1300, numbers that prove the success of the trade show.
Important data that confirm the United States as a reference market for Italian leather, in which customers have to be followed with attention and sensitivity.
The U.S market is going through an uncertain phase, characterised by a drop in sales and high tension on the retail front, while historic brands are facing financial problems.
Nevertheless, the trade show has confirmed the concrete interest of U.S. buyers for Italian materials. Visitors have shown a special interest for items able to differentiate their accessories and give them uniqueness, with high attention to prices.
The three Trend Presentations organised by the Lineapelle Fashion Committee and held during the trade show were sold out. The trends for winter 2018-19, collected under the name of Maps, indicate the success of basic and quality materials, from which bold, eccentric and opulent developments will arise, for a season characterised by an unusual chromatic evolution. There is a strong emphasis on the emotional tone of fashion proposals, thanks to the play of opacity, special tactile experiences, gloss and delicate pearling.
The next Lineapelle New York will be held from 31st January to 1st February 2018, always at the Metropolitan Pavilion.
