Outdoor by ISPO: a perfect outdoor for everyoneWith an innovative concept, the first edition of Outdoor by ISPO will begin on 30 June in Munich.
A fair for bringing together all the Outdoor worlds: Outdoor will hold its first-ever edition under the umbrella of ISPO at the Messe München site from June 30 to July
3, 2019: 96 thousand square meters of exhibition space divided up between nine halls that will host more than 950 exhibitors. Organised in close collaboration with the European Outdoor Group (EOG) trade association, Outdoor by ISPO will be held under the motto “There’s a perfect outdoor for everyone”, reflecting all the modern concepts relating not only to the outdoors, but also to other related industries like environmental technology, digital retail, and technological solutions. The aim is to inspire as many people as possible worldwide, break down barriers and highlight the many opportunities and types of outdoor that exist.
The theme of this first edition will be sustainability: under the OutDoor by ISPO umbrella, over the days of the fair, groups like EOG and the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) will debate the different themes of sustainability to then arrive at a Code of Conduct valid for the entire outdoor industry. Moreover, the CSR Hub & Sustainability Kiosk located in Hall B6 will be a central reference point where it will be possible to browse biodegradable and bio-based materials and participate in presentations and speeches.
As far as the exhibition is concerned, it will be a comprehensive representation of all the outdoor worlds. The Indoor Climbing Hub located in Hall A6 will focus on mountaineering and freestyle climbing offering insight, while highlighting and identifying potential opportunities for retailers and brands. In Hall B4, the Borderlands will host outdoor fashion in collaboration with the outdoor & lifestyle platform vanish.today, showcasing technical products that are stylish at the same time. River Lake Camp in Hall C6 will instead be the place dedicated to water sports, where also workshops, presentations and discussion forums will be organised.
The latest technologies, models, trends and design in the world of footwear will be the protagonists in the Shoe & Trailrunning Village of Hall A5, which will also host the summit “Run & Trail” on the first of July. The area dedicated to the travel segment in Hall B6 will also host the “Adventure Tourism & Travel Summit”. Bikepacking, which by now represents one of the main sector trends, will have its own special Bikepacking Zone area in Hall C5, where it will be possible to discover everything you need to know about this movement and find the relative equipment. Outside the halls, the HangOut Area will be the designated area for trying a wide variety of products.
Even lovers of yoga, the protagonist of the Body&Mind area, will be able to follow the practices inspired by the four elements, which will be hosted in different sections of the show.
Outdoor by ISPO also inspires OutDays: a bona fide outdoor festival which, from 29 June to 6 July will involve the metropolitan area of Munich with workshops, meetings, try-outs, film screenings, presentations, prize draws and contests from bouldering, climbing, mountain biking and hiking to different water sports, adventure travel and camping.
Finally, Outdoor by ISPO will recognise with the “Outstanding Outdoor” award the most innovative product in the industry seen at the fair.
