Increasingly more automation and precision in applying studs [SIMAC 2018]The novelties presented by Sagitta consist of an automatic recognition system for the placement of the studs and a collaboration with Roland.

dsc_0135Since 1947 - the year in which Alberto Bocca started his workshop to build footwear machines in Vigevano - Sagitta invests in innovation and tries to anticipate the future. The same happened during the last SIMAC edition where it presented the Vision System. A project that will be completed by 2018 (some machines are already sold) thanks to which application studs are able to automatically recognize, through an accurate material scanning, the deviation of the design and accordingly command the placement of the studs. An already very interesting system, potentially able to grow even more. In fact, in the future, Sagitta plans to implement other functions: the recognition of every single figure of the design; the recalibration after a pre-set number of applications to check if any changes to the material have occurred; final quality control with respect to breakages or missing applications.

Another interesting novelty presented at the fair is the collaboration with Roland, a leading company in machines for direct printing of the primer, which has modified its VersaUV LEF-300 (UV-LED flatbed device for direct printing on objects) in order to accommodate a standard Sagitta frame and to facilitate the printing and application process of the stud, as well as to speed up and provide more precision.
