Prisoners for guilt, tailors for passionSINCE 2016 SCHMID, the company specialized in high quality fabrics, has been collaborating with cooperativa ALICE born inside San Vittore prison in Milan
The social cooperative Alice was born over ten years ago inside San Vittore prison in Milan, with the aim of giving a specific training and a job opportunity to the female inmates of the Milanese prisons. Schmid, which has always been committed to social projects involving professional training and the rehabilitation and reintegration of less fortunate people, has wholeheartedly espoused the project of Cooperativa Alice, giving them materials and fabrics that for the fashion industry, which is quick at manufacturing and even quicker at “burning”, have concluded their life cycle, without losing their intrinsic qualitative value.
Materials that embellish the creations of the designers Ilaria Venturini Fendi and Rosita Onofri, who have also espoused the social goals of the cooperative, and who provide female prisoners with the technical and stylistic support necessary to make their items and accessories.
