Stitching, stamping and levelling. The new proposals by Fioretto [SIMAC 2018]Fioretto presented many new products in 2018 for different fields of application: stitching, stamping and levelling.
Fioretto presented a lot of new products at the last edition of SIMAC. The company from Montegranaro began by unveiling a new stitching model, the ESS 828 HT BIG RADIUS, a rapid outsole stitching machine that until last year reached a seam thickness of 15 millimetres, while now by expanding the needle and awl it reaches thicknesses of up to 25 mm. Excellent for the US market, for example, which often works with boots made of very thick materials that require stitching even at the toe to increase strength.
Another version of the same machine (2-thread stitcher designed to stitch Ideal and Good Year welted soles) is the ESS 828 HT, which is also useful for stitching a classic upper in order to obtain a moccasin-like effect. To do this, it uses the corn detail that acts as a guide for the upper and a different electric and pneumatic system.
The new models of stamping machines for soles (R2000HT line) hold the material perfectly in position thanks to the new vacuum system and come with ribbons able to stamp in two colours, or to perform a double stamping on the same material, creating interesting combinations. All this is guaranteed by a precision mechanical system that allows accuracy both in the depth and in the definition of the contours.
The newest addition to Fioretto is the ALM-01 automatic levelling machine which removes excess material formed during the assembly phase after the plates have been closed. This operation is usually carried out by hand, but has now been automated thanks to a programmable cutter able to remove excess leather on heels and toes and then proceed with levelling the entire shoe, which occurs in a more efficient, linear and uniform manner.
