The consortium has opted to apply its own brand on the removable protective film used to safeguard the leather in the following processes carried out by sole and footwear manufacturers
The consortium Cuoio di Toscana (Tuscan Leather), a group of 9 member tanners, was created as a real ambassador of the Tuscan tanning area, with the objective of upholding and strengthening the leather culture, helping to make consumers increasingly aware and knowledgeable, able to recognize, distinguish and appreciate for themselves the quality of real leather from Tuscany. After the launch of Cuoio di Toscana at Pitti Uomo and the B2B awareness initiative with a lounge “to welcome and inform” at theMICAM 2013, Cuoio di Toscana also made its appearance at Lineapelle. The member tanners of Consorzio Vero Cuoio, recognizable at the fair thanks to the consortium label with its “Cuoio di Toscana” logo, launched an important innovation during the fair.
In fact, the consortium has chosen to apply its brand to a removable protective adhesive film used to safeguard the leather in the following processes carried out by sole and footwear manufacturers. The addition of the brand to this film makes it possible to identify and guarantee authentic Cuoio di Toscana and certify its origin. A way to further enhance the product, synonymous not only with the elegance and comfort of Made in Italy but also respect for nature.
The 9 producers, in fact, not only use the slow vegetable tanning process with chestnut tannin but conform to the strictest eco-friendly methods and standards sustainability and environmental protection.
