“The fair was good. We made a positive number of contacts and closed deals”. This is the average comment of the exhibitors on the 38th Futurmoda, the fair dedicated to materials, components and machinery for Autumn/Winter 2018/19.
The Spanish event saw a growth in the number of visitors coming from foreign countries, among which Italy, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil, Germany and Russia distinguished themselves.
The figures that qualify the participation of exhibitors are good: 309 companies for 500 brands and 12 thousand square metres of exhibition space.
Among the hot topics of this edition, besides the sporty shoe (a real driving force for the footwear industry in the last few seasons), Industry 4.0, its evolution and growth prospects. In fact, the project “Digital immersion of the components sector in Industry 4.0″, promoted by AEC – Spanish Association of Footwear Components Companies, was accompanied by a good number of machinery and technology exhibitors, the main players able to drive the fourth industrial revolution.
A novelty able to attract important names such as Atom España, Main Group (Italy), Comelz España and many others, who occupied an exhibition area of 1,500 sq. m.
Among the Spanish companies, Córcoles – equipment, machinery and spare parts of all types for the footwear industry – and Escolano Maquinarias – that manufactures and imports machinery and equipment (among which Sagitta and Elettrotecnica B.C.) .
In short, it’s confirmed that Futurmoda is going through a growth period, which will undoubtedly be confirmed during the next dates of the event, which will take place in Elche (Alicante) on March the 14th and 15th, 2018.
