At the 42nd edition of FUTURMODA, which will take place on 16 and 17 October, 311 exhibitors will be present, for a total of 429 brands, on a 13,510 sqm surface. In this autumn edition the machinery sector will also occupy a relevant space, with almost 2,500 meters of exhibition space.
FUTURMODA, which will be held at the Alicante fair, continues to focus on respect for the environment and strengthens its strong commitment to sustainability in the GREEN PLANET area, the space where a wide range of ecological products that respect the environment is concentrated.
The Spanish association of companies that produce footwear components (AEC) carries on its commitment to the dissemination, promotion and awareness of the sector’s industry towards circular and sustainable production that respects the environment.
Álvaro Sánchez, the general manager of AEC and FUTURMODA, stresses that the sector’s businesses “have been researching and developing this type of products for years, and today there is a growing consumer demand for them”.
FUTURMODA visitors will have the opportunity of discovering the latest sustainable novelties, among which are: 100% natural fabrics, cottons, jute, pineapple leaf fibers and others with recycled polyester. Also fabrics with Aloe Vera and silver ions, organic cottons, ecological fibers, organic fabrics with sustainable elements such as bacteria, insect residues, jellies etc. Besides natural ribbons, ropes and braids and recycled materials. As well as rubbers injected with PET obtained from recycled bottles through the management system integrated by ECOEMBES, vegetable tanned hides, vegan hides, chrome-free hides and hides that are free from heavy metals, or EVA sheets of recycled vulcanized rubber. Soles, heels and eco-sustainable, biodegradable insoles made with vegetable bamboo, rice or maize materials. Finally, glues and adhesives with water-based, solvent-free paints.
In parallel with the fair, an interesting program of conferences will be held. The first day of FUTURMODA, October 16, ICEX will talk of “Information and support for the internationalization of the company”; SOIVRE will talk of “Technical requirements in terms of footwear safety”; EUROFINS will talk of “Global market requirements for footwear in 2020”; the seminar “Optimization and automation of processes, cost reduction and increasing production efficiency”, curated by the Footwear Technology Centre of La Rioja.
For the second day of the fair, October 17, the following conferences are scheduled: “Digitalization of footwear production and plant control”, by CLAVEi; “Online footwear sales and technological solutions to obtain foot size”, by INESCOP; “Circular fashion, concept of circular economy in the footwear and textile sectors”, by SEN Innova’s consultant; and “Fall/Winter 2020/2021 trends for men and women, confirmation of colours, shapes and designs”, by PROMOSTYL.
