It is called like the “nylon-eating” microorganisms discovered in Japan in the 1970s: KI-72 is the Italian outerwear brand with the mission of minimising its impact on the planet. Ethical and sustainable, genderless and aimed at an aware public, its proposal is divided into three capsule collections. REBORN gives new life to discarded garments with Eco Circle processes thanks to the collaboration with Pontoglio, a Brescia-based company leader in the production of velvets, offering five military-inspired garments. BIO, with a streetwear taste and for a younger target, is inspired by marine environments and 100% biodegradable, from Amni Soul Eco yarn, the only existing biodegradable nylon fibre that leaves no trace when disposed of – to individual accessories. Finally, RECYRCLE is made of recycled materials: printed Tyvek Dupont, Nylon Repreve (from PET waste), Nylon Pure Eco (from textile waste) looking both at functionality and performance.
