The Friedrichshafen fair will open the next chapter of its Outdoor story with a completely revisited event concept. From Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th September 2019, the organizers will offer a new trade fair format through OUTDOOR Friedrichshafen, which shifts the focus on to the interests of specialist retailers and offers opportunities both for brands and producers.

For over 25 years, Friedrichshafen has been the home and driving force of the outdoor industry. With our event OUTDOOR Friedrichshafen, we are launching a truly independent industrial platform and adopting new approaches – Klaus Wellmann, Messe Friedrichshafen’s chief Executive Officer, announced.

Authentic, practical, visionary: the new claim emphasizes the future direction of OUTDOOR Friedrichshafen. “We are bringing to the outdoor market a trade fair format that is different in many respects, and planned in a spirit of maximum efficiency. We are convinced that despite the increase of online sales, retail cannot be avoided.

Retail specialists are the sector’s backbone and are the center of our thoughts, along with the key question: how can retailers sell at prices with which to be able to live or survive?”, Outdoor manager Stefan Reisinger explained.
