A sole point of reference for high-end accessories: with its acquisition of Amom, this is the aim of the Italian-Swiss group Riri, which will significantly extend the range of products that it offers the fashion, footwear, leather goods, and apparel industries. The range of high quality zips, metal accessories and buttons will now be joined by the trimmings, bijoux, and accessories of Amom, while extending the group from Mendrisio’s traditional range of materials to include not only zamak, brass, steel and aluminium, but now also the silver, bronze, wood, and precious and plastic materials of the Tuscan company.
Active for over sixty years in the market of fashion accessories, Amom is based in Badia al Pino in the province of Arezzo, at the heart of the Tuscan high-fashion district, from which it has taken its great expertise and know-how. With an artisanal tradition behind it, it can perform most of the machining work in-house, including die-casting, moulding, cutting, welding, laser cutting, enamelling, painting and electroplating. It also has an extensive showroom where it displays over 100 thousand items from its range. The merger with Riri allows it to take a qualitative leap forward for its internationalisation and growth. Instead, as far as Riri is concerned, the CEO Renato Usoni expresses his satisfaction for the acquisition: “We are delighted to welcome Amom to the Riri family – he declares – This new acquisition is part of the corporate strategy aimed at increasing our size, range of products and technical skills that are necessary to respond promptly to the market needs, ensuring top quality standards in line with Amom’s manufacturing and handcraft tradition, as a priceless heritage of the Made in Italy. The joint offer will be extremely versatile and will allow our customers to benefit from unique innovation skills”.
The CEO of Amom, Carlo Veneri, replies: “This merger has allowed us to join an international Group, strong from over 80 years of history, with a consolidated market position, as well as a management vision oriented to growth and continuous improvement. From the start, our partnership with Riri was built on shared values: constant attention to customers’ needs, utmost care for details, innovation and research as driving factors for development and due consideration for ethics and sustainability throughout the supply chain”.
